Bishop Victor Gomez
Bishop Victor Gomez faced grave challenges upon arriving home from his mission. After serving honorable for two years and acquiring the discipline and goal setting abilities of missionary work, Bishop Gomez returned to circumstances of very limited opportunity. In the process of working long hours with meager returns, he sometimes became disheartened and tempted to fall into Church inactivity. He was trying to survive temporally and spiritually, but without hope for the future. Even so, he remained faithful and served diligently in his Church callings. He just needed a ladder to help him climb out of his poor circumstances.
Thanks to Jesse Toronto who served as a missionary in the Chiclayo Peru Mission some years ago, and Eagle Condor Humanitarian, he learned correct business principles and received financial assistance. Now, he and his business partner, Luis Leon, a former stake president, are running a drinking water company called Giant Commodities, SRL. They can provide for their families in less time and have more time to serve in their church callings.
